Tips for businesses
Communication with the customer
To make the most of your Transport Scanner account as a business, we recommend the following things:
- Be specific and personal. Do not send the requestor a standard story. Show that you have read the transportation order request carefully. Prepare a quote that addresses the customer's needs.
- Please respond quickly to an inquiry. The sooner you respond the better. Also, ask questions directly if things are not yet completely clear from the application.
- Make it clear what you can and cannot do. Do you have a truck but no tail lift or cage lift? Let us know right away. This way the customer will not be surprised.
- Always remain courteous. Do this even if the customer decides at the last minute to cancel the order or move on to another party. We understand that it takes time to make an offer and that it can be disappointing if an order cannot go ahead. But by always being decent, you have a greater chance that the customer will choose you next time.

Complete your business page
Your company page is your signboard on Transportscanner. Customers consult your company page to get to know your company better and verify that you have the right licenses.
- Write a clear business description. This does not have to be long but should reflect what your company stands for.
- Enter only the specialties you actually have.
- Provide all your licenses and upload supporting documents. You will get a blue tick
behind your business name as a verified business and stand out more in the business directory. - Provide customers with a positive review left on your business page. This will be displayed in the business directory.
- Keep your business page up to date!
Arrange your business properly
A well-run transportation company is more than just good service. It also means that your administrative affairs and paperwork are in order.
- Make sure you have good transport insurance. Preferably also inform the customer that this is well taken care of. This inspires confidence.
- Use fair and clear transport conditions. Preferably use the AVC and CMR conditions. Never use conditions that reasonably work to the customer's disadvantage and your advantage.
- Drive only what you are allowed to drive with the proper papers and permits.
