Which mail deliverer do I choose?

The choice between DHL, PostNL and DPD does not matter much in the case of a letterbox package. Only if you send large volumes the price difference can be significant. In that case, we recommend that you request a quote from all parties in order to make a good comparison.

In our experience, PostNL delivers the most reliable customer experience. Recipients within the Netherlands are also most familiar with PostNL, which inspires more trust. Internationally, precisely DHL is the most well-known party and provides the most reliable track and trace and customer service.

Looking at the specifications, the maximum dimensions per package are the same with all three. Only DPD has a maximum weight of 1kg, compared to 2kg for both DHL and PostNL. So if you want to send slightly heavier things, you should choose PostNL or DHL.
