Fuel transportation in the Netherlands.

Legislation in the Netherlands for the transport of fuel is done primarily through the Road Transport Act. Someone who wants to transport more than 3,500 liters of fuel needs a permit. Someone who wants to transport more than 200,000 liters must have an additional permit, which must be issued by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Failure to comply with these permits carries very heavy fines. The European Union has also adopted several directives to regulate the transportation of fuels.
