Code of conduct for companies affiliated with Transport Scanner

At Transportscanner, we only work with high-quality companies. That way, customers know they can turn to Transportscanner for a good transporter. This way we keep the competition fair and the quality of the platform remains guaranteed. We expect member Transportscanner companies to always adhere to the following standards:

1. Always be honest

Always be clear on the following issues:

  • The Agreed Price. Always be clear in advance about any unforeseen costs.
  • Time and scheduling. It can happen to anyone that a transport is delayed. Clear communication is essential then.
  • Insurance and safety. Clearly discuss your terms with the client.

2. Keep agreements made

Do not make promises you cannot keep. If you have promised a customer something, we assume that you will do everything you can to keep the promise. If, exceptionally, this does not work, communicate this clearly to the customer.

3. Keep your papers in order

Always make sure you keep your permits up to date. Renew permits in a timely manner. Never indicate that you have a particular permit if you do not have one. This is never allowed. Further, carry proper insurance that properly covers your activities and your and your client's liability.

4. Don't take on jobs you are not allowed or able to do

Don't have the right permits for a transportation request? Of course, then you do not respond. This of course also applies if the transport is outside your area of expertise.

5. Always be courteous

Do this even when the customer does decide at the last minute to cancel the shipment or move on to another. It can sometimes be frustrating when you've put time and effort into something, but outrageous behavior doesn't help anyone. It won't help your name either.

6. Clarify your terms and conditions

Create clarity to the customer about your:

  • General conditions - preferably use the AVC/CMR conditions
  • Payment terms - Down payments/advance payments of more than 10% are not permitted
  • Cancellation Policy
  • Liabilities
  • Insurance

Adhere to the code of conduct at all times

You do this not only for the customer, but also for yourself. You will see that acting right is rewarded by satisfied and returning customers. If you work on this platform, you are obliged to comply with our code of conduct. We may deny access to our platform to companies that do not act according to the code of conduct.
