Transportscanner does things a little differently here. A conscious effort is made to ensure fair price competition by approved carriers. Transporters and logistics companies are thoroughly checked for permits, certificates and specialties. This ensures a fairer, more sustainable and higher quality service for both customer and carrier.

History

The two founders, Thomas Jaques and Daan Kik, founded Transportscanner in 2020. The years before, they were at the helm of an e-commerce company. Here, large and difficult shipments such as batteries, motors and complete boats regularly had to be transported.

Finding the right carrier or courier proved to be a huge challenge. How easy sending a normal package is, so complicated was outsourcing such a non-ordinary transport. That, while there is a huge range of different transport companies in the Netherlands, all with their own expertise.

This platform is the result of our own experiences and especially many conversations with carriers, customers and other market participants.
